This project was based around a ceiling lantern and a large expanse of bifold doors overlooking a beautiful garden and patio area. The client wanted a ceiling Bulkhead directly above the island to house the extractor with built-in mood lighting and recessed backlights adjustable via remote control. The use of spot plinth lighting teamed with stunning Granite tops and a variegated slate-effect floorset a timeless elegance.
The island incorporated both sink and hob so we decided on a Neff slimline induction hob to give the distance between hob and sink area required and more worktop space. Wrap around seating makes for a very social area for relaxed dining and the use of curves gives this design fluidity and flow around the main bank of appliances, tall integrated fridge larder and freezer and Slide and Hide single oven next to a combination Microwave oven with warming drawer below.
